Good Bye MK

It's been some time since i posted last.Just returning back after a long hiatus, to speak about a person who reached a special level in the game of my life in short span. As he leaves today in search of brighter work challenges,i would like to wish him all the best for future.
Mk a.k.a Mukesh Goyal, i never though that i'll friend a person as much as i did who has so many habbits which i hate.He made me realize no matter how many personal bad habbits a person may have, he can be good to people. It's his life but i really hope he leaves those habbits and Turn into a true Baniya. For once i wish somebody to be a true Baniya. This guy from IT-BHU, wasnt a bond or something but he taught me that hard work and resolve will help u attain anything and everything you want.Ans wat i taught him return.. how to fool ur seniors, how to glorify ur work.. and wat not. More so ask him, 80% credit of him quitting goes to me. Actually his e-separation was also filed by me. Another thing which i'll like to mention his..Pepsi is thing of past..u'll soon get Diet Pepsi
Hey dude all the best to you. Just remember anytime u need help in official communication, remember i'm just a click away. And how good a jugadu i am ..that toh world knows.

This special occasion called for a blog entry... i have a whole lot of stuff to write..just waiting for Nov 16th to pass away..
Dada is retiring , Kumble retired..the 5 elements of Indian cricket deserves a write up..i hopeto be ready with it soon

Gilly : We'll miss you

Long before the advent of T20 cricket, there existed a form of cricket which caught fancy of cricket buffs, purely on high adrenaline excitement : The Hong Kong Sixes. In 1995 as a young boy, cricket was my only passion. It was during that time I caught a glimpse of an Aussie Batsman, in his mid 20’s , anhilating bowlers like never seen before. For whom hitting sixes was as easy as munching Kit Kat. The led me to wonder how can such a good stroke player be kept out of national side.
It was not until late 1996 that I got to see this man in international arena.
Aussie team of that time had some stalwarts. Time was to witness, how among the stalwarts, this man named “ Adam Craig Gilchrist ” or “Gilly” as he is fondly known, was to carve a niche for himself and redefine the way the cricket was played.
In my opinion he was the first player who could be categorized as real wicketkeeper-batsman of the modern genre of game. Gilly had an aura of a energetic person , diving around, pulling of some unbelievable catches in between his innings when he was smashing bowlers all over the park.
He is, one of the best wicket keepers the game has ever seen. Not only , did he retire as the world record holder in number of dismissals in both form of games, but he also kept to the toughest bowlers of the era like Warne,Bevan,Mcgrath,Lee with great adroitness.
But for me, Gilly will always be remembered for his batting. He started out as a No.7 in 1996,the designated position for keepers but he revolutionized the definition of wicket keeper batsman. He had to wait till 1999 to bag a test cap, but when he did he augured the golden age onto Aussie cricket team. His first 16 matches,, all resulted in a win for Aussie side, a record which stands to date.He was part of a team again performing similar feat.
A great man has said “ Statistics hide more than they reveal “.But in Gilly’s case, the statement falls flat on face. His records speak for themselves. At one time his average in test matches was only next to “Don”. He played a big role in transformation of test matches from mundane affairs to the edge of the seat to entertainment. His records for second fastest hundred and double hundred in this form of game supports the fact.
For one dayer’s, I doubt Aussies have ever had a better opening batsman. Not only is he a great pinch hitter , but a hitter with decent technique, eye for ball, great thinking mind. His exploits with bat had a great role to play in Aussies dominance of cricket over the last decade.
He dissembled his feelings well on not becoming the captain of side and did a great job as deputy, which included Conquering the final frontier for Aussies in the capacity of Captain.Along with “SRT”, I will rate him as one of the best players ever to grace modern day cricket.
But there was another reason which made Gilly immensely popular world over. It was his approach of walking off the pitch once he felt he was out, something which is missing these days. Also Gilly earned the reputation of being amongst the better behaved Aussie cricketers.
Towards the fag end of his carreer, he witnessed a slump in form by his standards, but by then he had scripted a special place in the hearts of all cricket buffs.
A salute to The Man, The Machine, we call “ GILLY”.
